Courtney M. Byrd
Courtney’s passion for event planning has been grounded in her since youth. She
started assisting with events in her hometown of Long Island, New York. She was
an active participant in high school establishing, creating and implementing the
layout & design for homecoming and prom. Courtney relocated to Tampa, Florida to
attend The University of Tampa and never let go of her zeal to plan events. She
became the Event Coordinator of the Tau Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Inc. where she was instrumental in designing the structure of business
meetings, pageants, and networking soirees. Post college, she assisted in the
production of weddings; ensuring decorations were set up in a timely manner and
that the event went as planned. Also, she worked in conjunction with major
organizations to manage casino fundraisers. Courtney ensured casino tables and
dealers arrived promptly, distributed playing vouchers to guest and assured their
satisfaction. With all of Courtney’s event planning experience, her knowledge of
trend setting “WOWs” and her knack to create the clients vision with only having four
white walls to start -she knew that event planning is what she was meant to do.

If anyone would ask about Courtney the first thing they would say is she a
compassionate person who puts her heart into everything she does. Courtney, by
day, works for the Department of Children and Families ensures child safety and
assist parents with services. Giving back is a major priority for her life and she
implements that into event planning by lending her hand for charitable cause, such
as the United Cerebral Palsy, Annual Cigar City Event.
